We’re looking for an analytical, data-driven and forward-thinking person to become Carla’s new Head of Pricing. We are looking for a person capable of tailoring and optimizing Carla's pricing strategies. Your job will be to combine your technical, commercial and analytical skills in order to identify business opportunities and ensure a profitable, long-term growth for Carla.
Recruitment need
Carla is growing at the speed of light and we are currently looking for an experienced Head of Pricing to join the Stockholm HQ and our ever growing team. Your focus will primarily be to develop and optimize Carla's pricing strategies. You will also derive business intelligence and customer insights to ensure an accurate pricing in Carla's key markets. We are looking for that someone with a customer obsession, and a strong drive to ensure that Carla's pricing constantly is accurate, validated and optimized.
Role Description
As a Head of Pricing you will be responsible for a key profit driver. Your decisions will have a big impact on the company's future profitability and growth. Your main responsibilities will include setting, monitoring and optimizing the pricing strategies. You will collaborate with Product teams and software developers to build tools and algorithms, as well as recruit and manage a future team of pricing specialists. You are likely obsessed with price optimization and confident about setting up the best profit margins.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to:
- Developing and monitoring a sophisticated price optimization methodology, forecasting models, price optimization tools, and methods of operation
- Creating pricing proposals based on market analysis and price development, implementing changes and following them up to ensure a stable and predictable checkout flow
- Develop a models for best in class pricing strategies
- Assisting management with reports, data insights and expert advice in their decision making processes
- Developing best practices, pricing strategies
- Being a key business stakeholder to the relevant Product teams
We believe that the ideal candidate has:
- 5 + years experience in advanced modeling
- Experience from D2C, B2C or C2B propositions and leading in retail pricing, direct revenue and contribution margins
- Previous experience from start-ups or hyper growth environments
- Leadership experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the pricing dynamics in the automotive industry is a plus, but not a must
- Passionate about using data as the starting point for understanding and solving (almost) any business problem
- Confident using tools beyond Excel to provide insights from data
