Head of Process Optimization

H2 Green Steel is looking to bring in a strong leader that will build H2GS’s capability within Process Optimization and Automation across H2 Green Steel’s entire production flow including hydrogen production, Direct Reduction of Iron, Steel making and any future production that H2 Green Steel will expand to. The Head of Process Optimization and Automation is a group function that will be an essential part of the company's technology division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing, developing, engineering, and securing the future operational state of the Boden plant in close partnership with Construction, Procurement, the Hydrogen, DRI technology, and the Steel technology team, the Digital organization, the PMO, and Technology Suppliers and Partners.
Develop a Center of Excellence across all H2GS sites with tools to help benchmark and optimize quality, cost position, CO2 abatement and circularity.
Building a highly capable and diverse team, including international experts and leaders, covering a wide range of technology practices, that secures future quality, operational performance, safety, and enabling a continuous improvement in all areas.
Design the technology of the future together with the customers and equipment suppliers, identifying the next generation of equipment and technology for automation, optimized production flow and circular initiatives
Identify and develop new tools to strengthen the company’s position across production optimization and product portfolio solutions.
Leverage analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance.
