Head of Process Technology Hydrocarbons Borcycle C

We are looking for our new Head of Process Technology Hydrocarbons Borcycle C to join our Asset Technology Management Team, as part of Joint-Venture & Growth Business Group. You will report to our Director, Asset Technology. What is Borcycle C?
Borcycle™ C is our portfolio of transformational chemical recycling solutions, giving polyolefin-based, post-consumer waste another life. It offers all-round benefits, supercharging the transition to a circular polyolefin industry whilst creating virgin quality plastic products. Borcycle C renews plastic back to plastic; creating recycled materials with a level of purity fit for protective, food-safe and other demanding applications.
The future Head of Process Technology Hydrocarbons (HC) Borcycle C will:
Provide process technology expertise in all phases of licensee & own projects: FEED, EPC, training &start-up.
Drive major technical development in the own technology areas through own development and by participating in innovation projects. Drives new technology ideas, value engineering, variable cost reduction, energy efficiency, sustainability and process safety improvements.
Advise senior management on technology issues. Engineers technical solutions and designs of high complexity, which assess and provide recommendations regarding short and long-term consequences.
Develop and maintain high level of technical expertise and awareness of latest developments in own technology area to be able to act as centre of expertise.
Influence technology strategy, business representatives for process patenting, prepares and contributes to patent applications and competitor follow-up, provides experts for technology and M&A due diligence.
Be responsible for Borealis External Network with all the Ethylene producers.
Approve Process Design Packages & studies & Design Packages for licensees, JVs and own plants.
Nominate process lead engineers to Growth Project & studies, nominate senior experts to Technical network, contributes on HC network agenda.

About you
Master of Science / PhD preferably in Chemical Engineering.
Recognised internally and externally as able to manage HC process engineering.
Total experience of at least 20 years in the industry, and more than 15 years in HC process engineering, process development or operations.
Very good knowledge of HC process engineering.
Experience and understanding of the plant engineering & construction process.
Managing a remote team of highly qualified experts, project management skills.
Ability to discuss and give advice on technology decisions with senior management and stakeholders.
Good understanding of licensing and IPR issues.
Ability to deal with business partners within diverse cultures.
Fluent English.

Preferred locations: Kallo, Porvo and Stenungsund.
