Own, govern, and enable implementation of global procurement strategy
Do you want to optimize and implement efficient procurement strategies in a global organization? As Head of Procurement Excellence, you are responsible for governance and performance across our global procurement organization. At NKT you will have a key role in our growth journey, join a diverse and effective team and contribute to a greener future. 

Collaborate to enable well-implemented and optimized procurement processes
As Head of Procurement Excellence you own, facilitate, and implement the global procurement strategy and process to ensure effective deployment and follow-up. You promote sustainability initiatives within procurement, ensuring alignment and clear communication with suppliers and partnerships. 

Among your responsibilities:

•    Manage a global procurement team and be an important member of the global procurement leadership team.
•    Lead, motivate, and develop your team members
•    Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct analysis, and generate management reports.
•    Provide market intelligence to support procurement decision-making, including sourcing, contracting, supplier base management, and financial forecasting.
•    Oversee the management of procurement tools, including Ariba and other relevant platforms.
•    Take ownership of the procurement academy, establishing training initiatives for procurement professionals. 
•    Establish and enforce procurement policies, standards, and templates

You are part of a skilled and global team. We are open to flexible locations at Karlskrona, Malmö, Copenhagen, Cologne, Kladno, Kaunas, Warszowice and Nordenham. We offer a hybrid work-life balance with flexible working hours. You may expect to travel mainly within Europe.

Great business insight and the ability to improve performance
To thrive in this role you have experience as a Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager or similar role in a global manufacturing company. You have experience of supplier management, optimizing procurement processes, governance, and performance management. You have experience as a manager and leader, and you coach and develop your team for better results. You also have experience in change management and have been a member of a leadership team.
With your enhanced interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, it is easy for you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as quality, legal, and finance. You are good at creating efficient processes and have an analytical mindset and good business understanding.

Your CV also includes:
* Experience using procurement tools and Excel. Knowledge in Ariba is an advantage. 
* Knowledge of sustainability practices and their integration into procurement processes.
Proficiency in English
