Position Overview
Assume responsibilityfor the product life cycle of the allocated products (product development, marketing, sales, financial results, logistic aspects, etc.) to form a crucial link between various departments (marketing, production, etc.) and thus optimize the turnover and market position of the products. This role requires experience in managing a SaaS product department, ideally within the marketing software domain (CMS, email/marketing automation, e-commerce, marketing analytics), and a strong background in team management, AI innovation, and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate the strategy and operational objectives for the allocated products and translate them into a successful product business plan to optimize the profit, turnover, and market position of the organization.
Analyse market evolutions and external trends through market research and competitive analysis to elaborate or adjust the product business plan and make sales forecasts based on the conclusions.
Study and analyse consumer wishes and needs alongside the competition’s product range to initiate and realize product renewal, with a strong focus on user feedback.
Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met. Develop the business case for new products, improvements to existing products, and business ventures.
Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the long-term product vision. Monitor progress in product development and address any issues that arise to meet predetermined deadlines.
Contribute to the thought process and realization of promotions, publicity, and commercial actions in close consultation with the marketing and sales departments to optimize the customer base and profit of the organization.
Collect and analyse information on product performance, and write reports on the progress of the product life cycle to inform internal and external stakeholders accurately.
Advise other departments (Production, Sales, etc.) based on acquired experience and knowledge to support the decision-making process of the different departments.
Coach and motivate your employees to ensure their competencies, skills, and know-how are utilized in the best possible manner. Ensure team stability and evolution through involvement in recruiting, training, mentoring, self-development, and evaluating performance.
Manage a product organization working with agile teams, driving innovation, particularly in AI, to stay ahead of market trends and meet customer demands.
