Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Power solutions is a business area, with responsibility to develop and market Power systems and services for a broad range of industrial and marine applications. The business is managed as a “Company within the company”, based on synergies from the commercial vehicles. The sales track record shows an impressive growth over the past years.
At Technical Development, within Power Solutions, our mission is development and adaptation of combustion engine systems as well as of electrified solutions. We are responsible for mechanical and electric hardware, software and performance throughout the complete project and product lifecycle.
As our current Head of Product Engineering / PM, is taking up a new assignment we are recruiting for a replacement.
Assignment
As a supplier of crucial components to equipment manufacturers Power Solutions is challenged with high expectations on the product quality, but also on keeping lead times short when facing field quality issues. You and your team will work closely together with our product support department, connecting the customer viewpoint with the different competences needed from development, purchase and production to solve the upcoming issues. Your responsibility is to organise and balance the different workflows in product engineering to meet our internal as well as our customers targets.
Aside from being a member of the management team of Technical Development, reporting to the Director of Technical Development within Power Solutions, you will also team-up with the other R&D PM´s to align processes, follow-up methods and other improvements within the field of product engineering.
Personal profile
You have either a university degree in engineering or have gained corresponding competence via experience. Naturally you are interested in, if not enthusiastic about technical development but even more important is that you share our compassion to understand the customer need, and work for improvements accordingly and to grow personally with the assignment. We expect you to be fluent in English and Swedish and have documented experience from a previous leading role. Powertrain, design and managerial experiences are considered as important merits. We welcome a person who is eager to learn and develop together with us and who is an advocate for team spirit, quality and diversity.
