Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Cab Production in China
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. The project is well on its way to starting the establishment and it is high time to start setting up the local organisation. We are now looking for the Head of Product Introduction Cab to join the team and put the industrial processes and the organisation in place! This is a unique possibility to work in a diverse, global, and cross-functional context where your personal experience and your perspective will contribute to Scania’s success in China.

Your assignment
As Head of Product Introduction, you will have the assignment of developing the organisation as well as managing the product introduction project in cooperation with the global product introduction team. You will be leading the project leaders & team members toward a successful project delivery as well preparing the organisation, the methods, and the employees for regular operation. You will be part of a global and diverse team with members from different parts of Scania and other companies. Creating a challenging and inspiring environment where keywords such as energy, collaboration, and transparency & inclusion characterize the relationship between employees, colleagues, and customers.

As a Head of Product introduction department TCHI, you have an operational role with overall responsibility for staff, work environment, and project management. You work both globally and in cross-functional forums within TC, Scania, and Traton. As a part of the management team for Cab production in China, you will lead engineering coordination in the management team. 

Your main responsibilities will span a wide range of areas. Examples of main activities among others will be:


• Recruit and develop the Product introduction Cab team for SAS (Scania Asia)
• Define and execute effective ways of working in the team, adapted to the current need of the team, the project, and long-term operational plans.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings and workshops
• Effectively distribute and communicate information within the organisation and anchor decisions and solutions.
• Follow up on the manning and identification of competence needs.
• Actively plan and/or participate in workshops, project meetings, and decision forums.
• Member of management team Cab

Your profile
The role requires strategic, operational as well as administrative skills. You have a Lean/Agile mindset and a genuine passion for building relationships, solving problems, and making your employees develop and grow.
We also believe you have analytic skills, and good knowledge of project- and change management. You will work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands where you are highly capable of adapting to new prerequisites and by that setting a new normal situation.

When it comes to communication you need to be fluent in English, both in speech and in writing, and comfortable presenting to peers and senior management.

Your location
The Cab Production project team (TCH) is based in Oskarshamn. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competencies needed and deliveries in the project during the initial phase.

This position also includes an Expatriate Period in Rugao, China. The minimum Expatriate time period to be considered is 2 years but a longer period can also be discussed, with an estimated start in Rugao in early 2024 but the final plan is to be decided with the appointed manager.
