Arbetsbeskrivning

Company Description

Are you a senior product leader passionate about creating customer and business value using modern technology? Would you like to take part in shaping the future experience for customers around the globe and across multiple brands? Are you interested in leading a digital transformation, helping us build new capabilities and competences that will accelerate the growth of one of the largest fashion retailers?
We are now looking for a Product Area Manager to lead our Payments product area within our H&M Business Tech organization.
Payments’ mission is to offer convenient, relevant, and reliable payment experiences to our customers. The area is end-to-end responsible for payments -- our payments offer, capabilities, partnerships, and commercial agreements -- across the H&M Group. This includes the payments offering in both our stores and across our digital channels, as well as both card payments and alternative payment methods. We are currently operating in 74 markets globally and continuing to expand to new markets.

Job Description

You will co-lead the Payments product area, currently consisting of 13 product teams (approximately 90 people), together with the Product Area Lead Engineer.
As Product Area Manager, you will develop a product vision and strategy for Payments together with your product teams. You will lead the organization to deliver optimal business value, both short- and long-term, through the development and optimization of our digital capabilities, management of partnerships, and optimization of commercial agreements, always with our customers at the center.
You will also be part of the Customer domain leadership team, where you will work closely with your fellow Product Area Managers to coordinate strategies and roadmaps, as well as progress our digital transformation.
In addition, you will build trusted relationships with collaboration partners across the H&M Group, inside and outside of Business Tech, working closely with relevant partners to align our product area strategy with our brand strategies.
You will have staff responsibility for Product Owners and Competence Leads for Business Experts in the area, supporting their growth and development as well as recruiting new talent. Together with your co-lead, you will support the product teams in your area to take a more customer-centric, agile approach (e.g., taking data-driven decisions, practicing a hypothesis-led approach).
Your responsibilities will include:
Define high-level KPIs and targets for the entire Product Area and align them with the respective Product Owners, supporting a data-driven environment.
Support the product teams in day-to-day priorities and product demos, and lead regular product area demos to provide transparency and gain input across the organization.
Conduct quarterly business reviews to set clear direction, aligning the Customer domain direction and product team direction.
Manage the area budget, taking accountability for the financial impact incurred by leveraged resources and solutions in the product teams of the Product Area.
Employ servant-leadership to coach and empower Product Owners and product teams, supporting them to increase the speed and impact of their work.
Staff responsibility for Product Owners and Business Experts across the area including recruiting, coaching, and managing employees and consultants.
Responsibility for overall work environment of your team including creating an explorative environment and culture that embraces acting, learning, and adapting.

Qualifications

You have great leadership skills and believe in a culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. You empower others to fail, learn, and grow and celebrate success as much as failure. We believe that you are a curious leader, focused on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. You have a holistic mindset and are skilled in breaking down silos, enabling collaboration, and empowering teams in a changing environment. We call this servant leadership.
We also believe that you have:
The ability to successfully lead an organization with 70-150 employees and 10-15 product teams.
Extensive experience in product management and product leadership with 10-15+ years in product, including product experience within a large organization.
Background within the payments space (7+ years), including deep familiarity and interest in the payments industry and trends.
Experience setting a product vision and KPIs and building an end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for multiple products.
Comfort distilling data and insights into strong hypothesis, developing business cases, and using analytics to take data-driven decision.
Superb communication and collaboration skills, with experience bringing together multiple stakeholders across teams to align on a common mission.
Consistent track record of creating customer and business value, including experience working with OKRs.
An understanding of what it takes to build healthy, maintainable, and scalable technology and perspective on relevant technology trends, the opportunities they bring, and when and how to use them.
