Head of Program Management

Job Description

Business Unit Underwater Systems is setting up a Program Management Office with responsibility of executing our contracts 'On Time, On Cost, On Quality' with excellent attention to detail in invoicing, margins, cash flow and planning.

Our business includes development and production contracts with a worldwide customer base and a product portfolio including torpedoes, UW sensors, mines and underwater robotics.

We are now starting the recruitment of the Head of Program Management, who together with the team of about 10 program managers and as a part of our management team would like to meet our exciting but challenging future.



Candidate profile

As Head of Program Management, you will possess strong commercial business acumen together with proven leadership skills. You will focus on achieving success through a team effort and contribute to the BU's overall strategy.



To succeed the ideal candidate will have:

· at least 5 years' experience of contract execution

· a degree within a technology or economics discipline, however, relevant experience at a similar level will be taken into account

· drive and passion for our products

· strong and demonstrable leadership skills

· strong influencing skills with high levels of engagement

· fluency in both Swedish and English.

This position will require you to be successful in achieving a security clearance in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

The Business Unit includes the fully owned subsidiary Saab Se​aeye and we have operations in Fareham (UK) and Linköping (Sweden) as well as test facilities in Motala (Sweden).



BU Underwater manage a product portfolio including ia torpedoes sensors and underwater robotics. Our worldwide business covers all stages in the Product Life Cycle; such as development, production maintenance and in service support. The BU is growing .
