To ensure exceptional project deliveries within Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT), we are now looking for someone to lead our highly competent Project Office into the future - someone who wants to take an active part in the overall strategy and development of SMT. The position will be located in Sandviken.

Job Summary
As Head of Project Office, you are responsible for managing the entire strategic project portfolio at Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) and ensuring a further development of the project model and setup that maximizes effectiveness of project across the entire business area. You perform external benchmarking, take the lead in the development of a single project model and work closely with SMT's senior management to keep your eye on the business requirements and secure a competence pool of senior and highly competent resources for strategic projects throughout the organization. You facilitate projects and large steering committees, are accountable for training both project managers and steering committee members and secure analyses and support with regards to Asset Management, Project Management and Portfolio Management. Additionally, the Project Office is involved in SMT's investment processes and the IAR database.

You report to Head of Strategic Business Development and have a group of senior project managers reporting directly to you. Global travel is required to some extent.

Your profile
We are looking for someone who has a history of working with management teams and leading senior professionals on a strategic level. You have solid experience from managing projects and a profound understanding of how to successfully work with a strategic project function. Previous experience from working within SMT is considered advantageous and, as we are a truly global company, your communication skills in English must be excellent.
