Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) Purchasing is a global organization within GTP with holistic responsibility over the Product Project portfolio, Volume & Supplier Capacity Planning, Supplier Development and Crisis Management. We deliver customer value via End 2 End product evolution ownership & resilient supply network, and we enable the best Performance & Customer Success outcomes while fully coordinated with GTT and GTO and Volvo Brands within efficient governance structure. We have a data-based proactive supply network management as well as a strong reactive capability – driving industry leading performance. We use digitalization to Monitor & Develop our suppliers into Trusted Partners, leading to full transparency and proactive visibility of risks during E2E processes. Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) Europe being the Strategic steering line for all SNR&PM purchasing activities within GTP, we organize a strong collaboration within SNR&PM network of purchasing teams spread across different sites/regions, and we are also the operational line responsible for SNR&PM Europe business all along specific process steps and areas (Vehicle stream roadmap coordination/product projects/program & supply capacity planning/supply partner development/crisis management).

What is your Mission?
As Purchasing Head of Vehicle Projects Gothenburg, you are in charge of the introduction in our plants of all new Volvo and HD Platform driven products or product modifications through the intro-blocks (IB). Your responsibility is to cover the complete vehicle introduction, and as such, you represent GTP in the cross functional vehicle stream governance. You are leading the Gothenburg-based department gathering all Vehicle Project Managers Purchasing (PMP). You act as the GTP owner of the Gothenburg driven project portfolio and support GTP preparation in front of the Product governance (all product governance levels and up to Product Board) for the Volvo Trucks scope.
You actively support the Global roll-out & successful implementation of the new way of working in streams (vehicle and technology stream) by securing the right cross-functional interfaces, securing GTP deliverables and positions. Continuous improvement of the new way of working is a key priority for the foreseeable future.
Main Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the development, leadership, and engagement within your team as well as securing purchasing deliverables within the new WOW in Streams leading to the complete vehicle introductions via Intro-blocks for Gothenburg scope of work (including - but not limited to - Volvo trucks, HD platform activities). You drive the department activities towards wanted position and secure needed communication with your main stakeholders. You are a key member of the Strategic Line for the GTP Project Management area, and you are a strong contributor within the Global Network of GTP Project organizations.
Other main activities:
Be a member in Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) Extended Purchasing Leadership team and in an active way contribute to the development of the department
On demand act as the GTP representative in the Gothenburg VEH product governance (Vehicle committee, Operational Product committee and complete vehicle IB management)
Coordinate and report the Gothenburg Vehicle product portfolio and intro-blocks status for the successive GTX fora´s and Product Board
Represent GTP in cross functional project meetings whenever applicable and secure needed communication with cross-functional teams
Contribute to Product Roadmap providing GTP inputs (Brands, GTX)
Together with Vehicle Commodity VPs, drive the deployment of Extended Commodity Management Teams as a mechanism for securing full alignment between Vehicle AP Commodities segment strategies and business plans and the stream-based product evolution process
Secure proper communication and knowledge of the IB management within GTP
Secure needed communication within the streams and communication within purchasing
Secure that the project requirements are transferred to the purchasing teams through the sourcing plans
Secure that Purchasing requirements are taken into account in projects pre-requisites via Technology & Vehicle Streams way of working
Secure set targets and KPI fulfilment for the Purchasing Project organization
Coordinate purchasing QDCF-TSR deliverables according to plan
Manage the development of staff
Secure and Manage resources within his/her area
Responsible for the budget & operating expenses
Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values
Sign off Final Development Contracts on behalf of purchasing for his/her area of responsibility

University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration
