Going Green
Flügger’s Going Green Strategy focuses on Optimized Operational Footprint and with several expansion projects including setup of a greenfield filler factory near Gothenburg and a major automation and upgrade project at our main paint production site in Kolding, there is ample opportunity to reassess our QHSE processes and risk assessments. Besides ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certifications, our wallcovering factory in Gdansk has been FSC certified and other factories are in the process.
Furthermore, Flügger’s Going Green Strategy focuses on sustainable production, products and packaging, and the production track on energy, waste, and water optimization. In addition, we want to secure a strong Health and Safety culture, not just at our production sites but in our entire value chain including our many shops.
Wanting to continuously improve the systemic way of operating with strong processes and governance anchored in our management system, and with an offset in the ambitious goals for the whole QHSE area, there are many exciting opportunities for the new Head of QHSE to leave her/his mark on Flügger’s journey.
Take part in the journey
As Head of QHSE you will report to SVP of Procurement, QHSE & CSR, Anette Beck, who is part of the Flügger management team. You will be leading the Group QHSE function with a skilled team of 10 employees, hereof 6 direct reports. Additionally, you will have dotted-line reference to local QES employees at sites.
Together with the team of very skilled specialists in Group QHSE, you will be responsible for setting directions incl. QHSE strategies, policies and Must Win Battles (MWBs) within all areas of QHSE at Flügger. You shall ensure strong collaboration to stakeholders throughout the organization i.e., production sites in all countries (Sweden, Denmark, Poland), our large Commercial organization in various countries, as well as cross-functionally in Flügger, and to external partners and suppliers.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for:
Project management of QHSE MWB’s, Flügger Going Green Recolor Production strategy, and other improvement projects
Driving continuous improvements in processes and process training on inbound controls, claims, recalls and non-conformity and securing Quality Assurance by local QES at all production sites
Facilitating external monitoring of relevant QHSE regulation and communication hereof
Maintaining and improving the business Integrated Management System to underpin QHSE and operating standards
Secure compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & FSC via trainings & audits, and setting ambitions for new certifications
Setting the standards and leading the process of supplier QHSE qualification, quality appendixes to contracts, supplier QHSE performance and audits
Supporting continuous improvement to Health and Safety processes & mindset across production sites, Commercial and other offices
Supporting Product Support, responsible for application test of all new products as well as Product training to Commercial

Your palette
You are an ambitious and experienced QHSE manager, used to leading and motivating strong specialists. With a very broad stakeholder landscape, we expect you to have strong communication skills and to thrive in a cross-functional, international environment.
You are passionate about QHSE, and like setting ambitions and drive change, with respect for the strong QHSE foundation already established. Also, you like seeing projects and improvement through to the end, and don’t mind “getting your hands dirty”.
You have minimum of 5-10 years’ experience within QHSE from a production company of medium size and complexity and have a strong understanding of production and supply chain. Experience from all areas of QHSE is an advantage. Solid knowledge about regulations and standards within QHSE is, of course, important as well.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefit package. Due to the footprint of Flügger, some travel should be expected for stakeholder engagement, training, audits, and employee dialogue. Work site can be from our office in Rødovre or our factory office in Kolding.
