Job Summary:
The Head of Quality and Operational Excellence, will be responsible for the end to end Quality management and Performance for all deliveries of the IoT-A offerings from BTEB IoT and Global Sites, including Satellite NOC locations.

Job Responsibilities:

The head of Quality and Operational Excellence has full responsibility for ensuring compliance to Ericsson / BTEB IoT Quality Standards and driving continuous improvements across IoT. Driving operational quality programs within BTEB IoT to deliver real change for Customers. Lead the existing Toyota Launch Program.


Active member of the BTEB IoT Operations Leadership Team, working towards the overall objectives, including cross-unit, cross Business Area (BA) and Market Area (MA) collaboration objectives. Securing that best practices are continuously collected, evaluated and redeployed


Accountable for Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met, for all Market Areas (MA) - MNEA, MOAI, MANA, MMEA and MELA. Work with Customer Solution Responsible (CSR) and customer to workshop new requirements, ensure proper documentation and audit trail to avoid informal scope creep and misunderstanding.


Accountable for Interacting with Customers on all quality issues, including customer presentations of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 why and remedial actions.


Accountable for writing management and technical reports and Customers’ charters. Run and deliver quality audits especially in operational trouble spots e.g. Deployment Management.


BTEB Quality standards and Performance

Responsible to determine, negotiating and agreeing on the detail of the BTEB IoT Operational Quality procedures, standards and specifications for BTEB Operations across all regions.
Accountable to specify Quality requirements of deliverables with third-party providers, via Ericsson sourcing organization.


Responsible to ensure that IoT Service Operational processes exist, are effectively documented and maintained, complying with Ericsson standards at both national and international level.


Accountable for Monitoring and reporting on Quality performance and IT systems performance. Define requirements to extend Management Information Dashboard (MID) to include useful Quality metrics, as part of continuous reporting.


Accountable for Recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information about Quality performance. Run regular meetings across IoT, similar to the Customer Launch programs, to identify trouble spots and lessons learnt.


Delivery Success
Responsible to work with operational staff to establish and validate procedures, standards, systems and procedures, to ensure all quality checks have been made.


Responsible to direct operational objectives to maximize commercial Quality and identifying opportunities for efficiency.


Responsible to coach and direct technical staff in Quality and Continuous improvement methods and approaches, See the following list to name a few of the functions, but not limited to this i.e. Capacity management, Change and Problem Management, Test Management and Configuration Management.


Responsible to support the IoT Operations teams in determining and specifying training needs, to ensure continuous improvement and Quality standards are driven and maintained at a high level of performance.
Accountable to ensure that the required IS/IT investments and projects are in place to support the IoT Operations Quality and Operational Excellence, activities for the IoT business, both for existing and new business.
