Would you like to manage the quality organization in a large, successful medical device company with its own R & D, production and marketing? Are you ready to lead a management team within quality assurance, quality control and validation?

As Head of Quality at Galderma Aesthetics & Corrective in Uppsala you have the overall responsibility for all quality functions at the site. You have 7 direct reports and manage an organization of 70 specialists within quality assurance, quality control and validation.

Main responsibilities include to:

• Lead and drive the Quality processes. Ensure that all the activities on the Uppsala site follow procedures, instructions, regulations and legislations.
• Deliver on Quality objectives. Ensure that quality management requirements are defined and documented, continuously developed and maintained in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Identify improvements in the Quality System and to improve the work and efficiency of the department, working with LEAN principles
• Act as Management Representative for the Quality Management System.
You are also responsible for planning and implementing strategies for the development of the local quality organization and staff. The position includes full budget responsibility. The Head of Quality reports directly to the Site Manager and is part of the Site Core Team and Cross Functional Management Team Uppsala.

The position is open-ended, full-time and located in Uppsala.

Qualification:
The position as Head of Quality requires:

• More than 5 years of experience from a senior management position in a producing medical device or pharmaceutical company.
• Great understanding of relevant quality standards, e.g. GMP, GLP, GDP, GCP, CE or ISO 13485.
• Experience in leading inspections from authorities or customers and in performing own audits.
• An academic degree within pharmaceuticals, chemistry, biology, engineering or similar
• Fluent written and spoken Swedish and English
It is meriting if you have:

• Experience from sterile production or clean rooms.
• Experience from management in an international environment.
