Scania has decided to within Finance and Business Control establish a new group function, Real Estate & Workplace, with full ownership and mandate of all assets (owned and leased properties) and end-user services at Scania CV. Simultaneously Scania is undergoing a large Facility Management sourcing project with the ambition to shift to an IFM approach along with high Future of Work ambitions, a work already ongoing where your contribution will be instrumental to get it to fly.
The mission for the organization is to manage and continuously evolve Scania’s workplace offering, designing, transforming and operating premium spaces, services and experiences that empower people, attract talent and enables Scania’s overall strategy and objectives.
The Head of Real Estate and Workplace will be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the real estate and facilities functions for Scania CV, including strategic planning, portfolio management, project management, budgeting and personnel management.
Main responsibilities
Responsibility for strategic planning of the Scania real estate portfolio in collaboration with end-users, enabling Scania to meet current and future business needs
Develop and implement strategic plans for Real Estate, Facility Management and Workplace activities that align with the overall corporate strategy and goals in line with the Future of Work ambitions based on data and insights
Develop and maintain the organization's real estate portfolio, including lease management, site selection, acquisition, disposition and asset management
Oversee the management of all company-owned and leased facilities
Ownership of Scania Facility Management service portfolio and governance including supplier management on a strategic level and setting national targets
Monitor and manage the budget for the function, overseeing expenditure, capital allocation and cost management initiatives
Manage key stakeholder relationships and business partners
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate and facilities management trends and best practices
Your Profile, Qualifications and experience
A Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Economics, Engineering, Management/Business Administration or similar)
Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate and facilities management, with at least five years in a senior management role, it´s meriting if candidates have a track record of building organizational functions from scratch
Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex real estate and facilities strategies
Excellent leadership and management skills with a proven track record of leading teams and building successful and high-performing teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and key stakeholders
Proven ability to manage budgets, strategic supplier relationships and portfolio management
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
