The Tube Division R&D team has a mission to drive our strategic product and process development as well as support the Tube Business Units in tactical and operative matters related to technology, testing technology and quality. We take great pride in Tube having a high performing R&D that strengthens the product portfolio and makes us the leading innovator and the customer’s first choice.


Job Summary
As Head of Tube Research and Development, you have an important mission to drive our material development. You lead the development of new products to create new business opportunities for Tube Division and support the line organization with technical expertise on a strategical as well as operational level. You interact in external research forums and make sure that the division is up to date with recent R&D developments.


Furthermore, you make sure all Tube businesses are covered with relevant Quality Assurance Systems in accordance with our promises. Finally, you lead and develop your team in carrying on this mission. In this role you report to the President of the Division and your engagement in the management team of the division is of high importance.


The location for this job is in Sandviken, International travel is normally included in your job.


Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a M.Sc. in a technical field, such as metallurgy, materials science, engineering physics, mechanics or similar. Knowledge of metallurgy is a requirement and Ph.D. are an advantage. You have a solid and proven track record as a leader within research and development or product development along with your deep knowledge of process development and quality work at a senior level.
