Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are looking for a Head of Risk Management to continue to develop Scania Group’s risk management and implement a Group framework as well as support to business. You will provide Scania management with effective and reliable basis for managing risk in accordance to laws, regulations and international standards and best practices as well as support to business in day to day operations. In this position, you will be part of an international and multicultural team that works in a global environment. The position will also give you the opportunity to overview and understand the Scania business model and possibilities to create a good network in the whole Scania organisation. You will also work closely with colleagues from other companies within the TRATON group.
Main responsibilities as Head of Risk Management
• Lead a central team of experienced colleagues, coordinating global network
• Develop the team as well as support and collaborate with other functions
• Challenge and improve the framework to be an efficient and value adding support for management, external auditors, internal auditors and other relevant stakeholders both internally and externally
• Shared responsibility for areas with overlap within the area of Group risk Management (risk, internal controls, business continuity)
• Support Scania management with respect to Risk Management
• Define and execute upon targets and strategies
• Collaboration with the TRATON group including exchange and to drive improvements together
• Facilitate and conduct complex risk assessments (qualitative and quantitative)
Your profile
As Head of Risk Management you will be responsible for leading large scale, complex and cross functional transformations that include implementation of new business practices and IT solutions with impact on people, processes and systems. You need to be able to both pay attention and prioritise on details as well as maintaining a helicopter view. To succeed in this role you need to be strong in communication as well as relations. Leadership skills will be important to succeed.
We assume that you have a solid experience in risk management and a proven record of successful implementation of processes as well as behaviour and culture. We expect you to have a strong business skill which you will use to protect as well as create value. You have experience with implementation of regulatory requirements on risk management in industrial organisation or financial services. English is a must and both Swedish and German will be a merit. We assume that you have an academic degree in Risk Management and experience being a manager. It will be a merit with experience in digital and data driven analytics.
As your work will be basis for financial and non-financial reporting, accuracy, completeness, knowledge and integrity is crucial.
We are looking for a person who have an open-minded approach towards their tasks and is a team player. You have strong analytical skill regarding risk management as well as an innovative mindset combined with a clear customer focus. In order to succeed in this role it is crucial to understand and adopt the risk management to the culture of Scania according to the business model.
