Head of Risk - Second Line

Would you like to join Resursbank, a fast-paced Nordic organisation, as our Head of Risk management?
Getting an idea of the role
Join our Risk department as our Head of Risk. You will become a key player in the Bank's risks and risk management practices. You will lead a small team of 2-3 Risk officers and be at the forefront of identifying emerging risks, executing audits outlined by the board, and diligently monitoring risk levels.
Head of Risk leads the function and is subordinated to the CEO. The Function is independent and organisationally distinct from the business operations (first line) as well as the functions and areas that it monitors and controls.
Some of your responsibilities:
Develop and oversee comprehensive risk management strategies, ensuring all potential and material risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.
Monitor and enforce compliance with the bank's risk policies and procedures and recommend enhancements to align with evolving business needs.
Evaluate risks associated with new or significantly changed products, services, and regulatory environments, determining their impact on the bank’s overall risk profile.
Evaluate internal controls and processes.
Perform audits, controls, validations, and testing according to the annual plan.
Perform and present quarterly risk reports.

On a personal level
You are self-driven with a can-do attitude, collaborative and possess both excellent communication and leadership skills. Risks are something you see as a challenge and possibility not a limitation.
We believe you have:
A bachelor's degree in economics, law, finance or equivalent.
At least 10 years of relevant experience within Risk Management in the financial sector, preferably as a CRO or Head of Risk.
English and Swedish skills at a business proficient level.
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to risk management.
