Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Scania Corporate Security leads the overall direction and management of operational- and security risks, which includes responsibility for the global security of Scania employees and the protection of company assets.
We are now looking for our next Head of Scania Corporate Security.
The position
The Head of Scania Corporate Security is responsible for strategic management and planning within the security and operational risk management, to manage the unit and advice the global Scania operations within the areas of responsibility. This includes loss prevention (fires and natural hazards), protective security (assets and personal security), crisis management, internal investigations (jointly with other Scania units), travel security, and site security for the group’s main site in Södertälje, Sweden (fire safety, flammable goods, and security).
Main responsibilities:
• Manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy in accordance with Corporate Security guidelines and security standards, in accordance with necessary adoptions of VW and TRATON Group guidelines and security standards in order to ensure an appropriate and cost-effective security environment.
• Establish good liaisons with security professionals in the public, private and commercial sectors as well as security associations, in an effort to enhance cooperation on security and operational risk management matters.
• Initiate the development and structure of security and operational risk management contact network.
• Advise, supervise and control/audit security and fire protection concepts for existing or new establishments like warehouses, production sites, office buildings, R&D sites, etc.
• Advice and report to the management on security, fire- and loss protection topics.
• Conduct security and other operational risk assessments within the area of responsibility and advise in order to negotiate weaknesses in this regard, with the of minimizing such risks.
• Supervise external security contractors as well as other contractors within the area of responsibility in order quality in selection and tender procedures.
In many cases, the above involves the necessity to liaison with the global Scania organization as well as with other Corporate Units within Scania, TRATON Group Security, and/or national/international governmental agencies (such as law enforcement and rescue service). You will be the main point of contact within Scania for TRATON Group security topics and report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Legal Affairs and Risk Management. The position will require traveling.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, we believe you have several years of experience working with security and operational risk management. Preferably you have had a management position, been working for a government authority, consultancy firm, or within a global company. If you also have experience working with incident handling and/or incident investigations, this will be seen as a merit.
As a person, we believe you are trustworthy with strong ethics and personal integrity, and an understanding of security and operational risk management-related issues in a business process, as well as the need for a balanced approach in a business-driven environment. We also believe you are a true leader and team player, always focusing on the team’s result - whether the team is the security team, a business area, or Scania as an international group of companies.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written, as well as the ability to build and maintain good relations internally and externally are required.
