About the School
The Swedish International School of Geneva (SISOG, https://www.sisog.ch/) is a non-profit Association founded in 1972. Education is based on the Swedish Approach of thematic and interdisciplinary teaching helping students to develop a love for learning, build their self-esteem and spark their curiosity so they can find their unique way to thrive in the world. At the same time, it follows the Swiss curriculum and offers bilingual schooling in Swedish/French and French/English languages. SISOG comprises a preschool and a primary school (F-6) with a total of about 140 children of over 40 different nationalities grouped into small classes of up to 15 students.
The school is located in Meyrin, about 5 km from the centre of Geneva, in the modern community buildings of the “Ecoquartier Les Vergers”.

Your Work Tasks
Are you looking for an opportunity to run and develop an international school based on Swedish values and ideals? The current position offers you incredible freedom to pursue your vision within the framework of the mission. In your assignment as school principal, you have the overall responsibility for leading and continuing to develop the school's work and culture. Tasks include educational, personnel, financial and work environment aspects. You are supported by a management team and report to the Board of the school who represents the Association. You lead a committed and curious international team of about 45 teachers and support staff who enjoy and dare to try new things. In your everyday work you delegate operational responsibility, but you are also available for, and familiar with, the life in the classrooms through your pedagogical leadership and process management. At the same time, you cooperate with authorities and with the municipality to run your school in accordance with Swiss laws and regulations.

Your Profile
We are looking for a principal with great commitment and heart who is passionate about driving educational development. Do you thrive in the strategic conversations in a management team but are also a solution-oriented school operations leader? Do you thrive in an international environment? Then maybe this is your next challenge!
? You are trained in Swedish education, hold a primary school principal certificate and have at least three years’ experience in school management.
? You have experience in personnel management and have already successfully guided teams towards common goals through trust-based leadership.
? You have a good ability to develop organisational structures and to get energy from development while creating sustainable relationships and processes.
? You can communicate fluently in written and spoken English. The ability to understand and speak French in professional contexts or willingness to acquire it rapidly would be an advantage.
