Business Unit Energy separation is business responsible for the Alfa Laval portfolio of high speed separators, decanters, freshwater generators and evaporation solutions. We are 130 persons dedicated to growing business within process, heavy and light industries and are one of four BU:s in the Energy Division. To allow closeness to customers and our +200 colleagues in the sales companies we are present in more than 10 locations. Our three main sites are Söborg in Denmark and Lund and Tumba in Sweden. Service stands for a substantial part of our business which makes the Head of Service a key function for the development of our business.
Purpose & Mission
Our ambition is to grow our service business substantially for our mechanical and thermal separation solutions, and we see service as the key differentiator to create a superior customer experience. Our service mission is to increase speed of servicing, simplify and have service solutions “ready at fingertips” for our customers.
Responsibilities
Substantially grow the service business globally through increased coverage of installed base and proactive promotion of tailored service offerings.
Secure actionable sales plans for key markets with our regional sales managers.
Transform service way to market through online presence, web sales, remote and connected services, and development of service channel networks.
Drive digitalization and simplification of service offering and tools to serve customers faster.
Secure development and management of a team of central experts, troubleshooters and business developers that serve customers globally.
Implement Agile ways of working to keep a resilient and professional service level for our global customers.
Apply knowledge management to secure knowledge excellence across all offerings and develop a learning organization.
Manage and support global key accounts.
Be a member of the Business Unit management team and participate in shaping the future growth for the BU.
This position is preferably based in Söborg Denmark, or in Lund Sweden.
Who are you?
We believe you are passionate about service business. You are interested in the latest digital innovations and eager to apply in new and more efficient ways to serve our customers. It´s easy for you to understand the business in a broader sense, yet you are able to focus on the details that make the difference delivering on a daily basis. Our people are the differentiators delivering a superior customer experience, whether it´s direct or through our sales channels. You will have many interactions within and outside the BU to deliver on our service growth strategy and should be confident in your direct as well as indirect leadership.
You have experience from senior managerial roles in an international environment and a master’s degree in engineering or similar educational background. Experience from process, manufacturing industries or with rotating equipment is an advantage. You are comfortable using state of the art analytics and work data driven. As a person you are courageous, self-starter, creative and embracing change with an ability to achieve results in a matrix. Experience from working with Agile organization models is a merit.
