We are evolving our organization to achieve greater product focus, to bridge the traditional automotive vehicle projects with the greater and more rapidly evolving wireless, cloud, and data environments which requires OEMs to do Sw development inhouse. We are looking for a strong and collaborative leader who can take leadership of this evolution, to inspire our people and teams to deliver, and align our value and work with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
The role reports to the Vice President of Feature Development and will be part of the function unit management leadership team with colleagues from Product & Services, UX, and Feature Design. Your team today consists of three sub-teams with team leaders, potentially further on you will be leading leaders when structure and way-of-working has been more set. The teams are today set up in Apps & Services, SW Platform and Cloud/Backend development teams.

Relationships and networks will be instrumental to succeed in the role, and thus travel to China/Asia is expected on a bi-monthly basis. Responsibilities/Tasks
* Lead and develop strategies in the functional area, including innovation of technology, process, and keep up within the latest trends.
* Setting up a framework for the SW development organization: structure & footprint including strategy for in-house/near-/offshoring.
* Be a driver for a major change of Way-of-working towards an agile yet structured approach not only within the SW organization, but also in the interface to the traditional automotive way-of-working.
* Lead and manage and develop your team, including recruitment, performance and competence development. Provide coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development. Have a strategy for key competence needs, identify gaps, and work to fill them in a good quality and cost balance.
* Be overall responsible for planning and securing the quality of all teams’ everyday deliveries.
Needed Competencies/Skills
* MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
* Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach both direct and 2nd tier reports, while working effectively with peers and colleagues.
* Experience in setting up, leading and maintaining a SW Development organization and teams, from small to large scale.
* Experience of hands-on coding, and/or SW architecture work.
* Experience automotive industry could be an advantage, but not necessarily.
* Ability to communicate clearly and be perceptive. English is mandatory, Swedish and/or Mandarin are advantageous.
* Ability to combine strategic and operational mindset
