Head of Software Development

The development department at Sportality is growing and we are looking for a skilled and passionate leader to take on the role as Head of Software Development.

As Head of Software Development, you are responsible for the development of both the people and the product - the teams and the Sportality Platform. The Sportality Platform is a service for sports leagues and clubs to maximize the effect and experience of their business and make it easier for fans to connect with the sport and each other.

Your main goal is to create the best possible conditions for the teams to continuously improve and further develop the service. A genuine love for code is necessary, and we believe you will contribute to the development yourself with some hands-on coding.

We build our platform using a service-oriented approach with containerized applications running on Kubernetes. Most of the back-end applications are written in TypeScript and uses NestJS, while the front-end apps use VueJS.

You will work closely with Head of Technology and Head of Product, and together you will make sure we keep customer value, user experience and product at the front and center of everything we do.

You will spend some of your time on things like this:

- lead and support our 11 developers, both in Sweden and offshore in The Philippines.
- ensure ways of working and sound engineering practices throughout the technical organization
- contribute to long-term strategies regarding software and technical solutions
- coordinate software initiatives with other parts of the organization
