What’s in it for you?
In Connected Experience our purpose is to develop a world-class digital user experience for our consumers that we are realizing through the delivery of Infotainment, Connectivity and Cloud Platform. We are also responsible for Complete Vehicle Diagnostics and Data collection platform, enabling all our car and app development to be truly data driven.
We are now strengthening our Leadership Team and are looking for the Head of Solution Support (Dept).
Our overall mission for this department is to support the shaping of our long-term strategic direction by supporting the product owners in the organization with user behavior insights, monitoring of technology shift, innovation ideas and advanced engineering. Another dimension of the department responsibility is to build and nurse the solution architecture team competence and capacity that will be part of Solution Technical Team building the technical roadmap and securing architecture governance across the whole solution. In this department we are solution interface towards our external collaboration partners within the group but also externally like academia and other partners within the ecosystem.
What you'll do
You will build empowered teams to support speed and quality of impacted main value flows as well as proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with strategies. You will recruit highly skilled individuals in line with identified capacity, wanted culture and competence needs.
As a part of Connected Experience leadership team, be part of our work to define and execute the Connected Experience strategy towards the business goals of Volvo Cars through facilitating transparent communication and represent Connected Experience in relevant platforms where we interact with external partners.
You will be part of ConX Leadership Team and will have an important role in our ability to deliver as a Solution. As a leader for this team, you work close to the Solution Team and the different Departments/Agile Release Trains to lead your areas, but also to understand and define where additional support is required. To have a well-working Solution, your team will work pro-actively in closing the collaborations with the other departments to work out the best support needed.
You and your skills
As a leader you must be able to win the trust of other highly skilled leaders. You should be able to show courage and build confidence within and outside of the organization as well as with customers and stakeholders. You are a strong team leader and relationship builder. Good communication and cooperation skills are crucial to succeed in the role, and you should be comfortable to lead in a constantly changing environment with high integrity and professionalism.
We also see that you are curious and continuously searching for new knowledge, trends, and technologies. We assume that you have an entrepreneurial approach and find creative ways to overcome challenges.
To be successful in this job, we see that you have several years of relevant management experience. You should have a strong interest in leadership and in developing people. We also see that you have a technical background with preferably some hands-on experience from Software Engineering, and relevant academic education.
Previous experience from Solution Support within Software Engineering is a strong merit. It will also be meritorious to have solid experience from other agile product development organizations.
