Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Scania Pilot Partner (Small series) is a newly established function at Sales&Marketing. We are part of the transformation of Scania and are created to address the early unpredictable market of pioneers and early adopters. We are supporting E-mobility to cross the chasm and at the same time exploring how the transforming eco-system will influence our value proposition. We work in a customer centric way and have short time to market as top priority.
We are set up as a virtual company within the company that has the freedom to purchase internal and external capabilities. We are also a cross functional value stream with an unique end-to-end responsibility, starting with customer needs and ending after operation by the first customer. We have a unique way to manage risks, both technical and financial.
We are now looking for a Head of Solutions development to strengthen the capabilities of Scania Pilot Partner. In this position you will build a team of direct reporting persons as well as manage partnerships with internal and external suppliers of components and ensure that they are integrated to complete solutions.
Work description
Customer needs will approach you from various parts of our company, your task is to find a solution. You will have both internal and external suppliers at your disposal. You will be responsible for coordinating internal partners through a Solution Development Table. Since time to market is crucial, you also need to keep track of progress in your portfolio. Potential risks associated with the solution need to balanced and managed.
The scope will range from vehicles, to infrastructure and digital services covering modifications to both HW and SW. To be able to deliver complete solutions to the customer, interfaces and integration processes need to derived. You will also be responsible for keeping the back-log or que for each supplier updated to ensure that most important things are at the top.
Your profile
You are a generalist with a broad technical background (HW and SW). You are also familiar with different processes and ways of working (lean, agile, stage gate etc).
As a person you are creative, mature and self-confident. You have a positive mindset and always see possibilities for progress. You are good in creating structures to be able to handle many tasks in parallel. It is natural for you to build new relations and generate win-win situations.
You have a commercial and/or technical university degree, several years of experience from business and master English with high proficiency since communication skills are important for the role.
