Head of Sourcing

Role Overview:
As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations. This home-based position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within Sweden, providing an excellent opportunity to balance professional growth and personal life.


Key Responsibilities:
Building an Effective Supply Chain: Manage the purchase budget to support the company's strategic goals.
Plant Support: Oversee sourcing activities for four plants, including PPAP, vendor consolidation, capacity management, supply chain risk management, quality systems, and delivery tracking.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing plants, engineering departments, and international teams. Experience in multi-reporting organizations is an advantage.
Vendor Potential Identification: Identify and evaluate new vendors based on total cost of ownership and activity-based costing.
Post-Development Supply Chain Management: Handle the supply chain post-development for production and conduct quality improvement programs.



Desired Profile:
Engineering Materials Expertise: Excellent knowledge of engineering materials.
Commercial Acumen: Good understanding of costing, pricing from various geographies, and commercial aspects of taxes and duties in Europe.
Language Skills: Excellent spoken and written English.
Technical Proficiency: Good working knowledge of ERP systems and Excel.
Vendor Development: Proficient in vendor development processes, PPAP, and APQP processes.
Quality Management: Hands-on experience with quality measurements, statistical analysis, vendor audits, and appraisals.
Independence and Flexibility: Ability to contribute individually and work comfortably in a matrix reporting environment. Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
Manufacturing Aptitude: Strong inclination towards manufacturing and quality improvement.



Desired Qualifications / Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
Experience: 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in auto or engineering manufacturing companies.
