In order to create a stronger focus on products and solutions and to increase our ability for capturing business and improving profitability, Electronic Defence Systems is changing to become a more product oriented organisation.Sourcing & Production is a delivery unit formed of around 450 employees, where all of EDS’s sourcing and supply activities are gathered in one organisational unit. This unit will be measured and evaluated for profitability, quality, time and cost and will consist of three production units, a common sourcing unit and a common quality/operational excellence function.
Your future challenge
We are looking for a Head of Sourcing for this organisation. You will be a member of EDS Sourcing & Production’s management team, where you will be responsible for running the supply as well being an important part of a well functioning management team. Since a large portion of the refined value is to be found with suppliers, the sourcing function forms a very important part of the organisation.
We have offices in Gothenburg, Järfälla and Jönköping. You are expected to be prepared to participate in the work on all locations as well as travelling to meetings with suppliers and partners. Participation in Saab councils may be appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Translating overarching targets into clear targets for your own organisation.
* Leading according to our organisational values.
* Full responsibility for results within your area, which includes responsibility for finances, quality, delivery capacity, effectiveness and cost reduction.
* Preparing and making day-to-day decisions in the organisation.
* Being part of delivering and applying our Lean system.

You will have managerial responsibility for an underlying structure, which means that you are required to have the ability to lead through managers.

Your ability to establish a performance driven culture within your unit will be of outmost importance.
Today's demands
* We are looking for a person who has a verified commercial/supply experience from an international environment as well as a good understanding of the flow of materials and surrounding processes.
* You should have extensive experience of complex procurement and partnership relations in an international business environment. Moreover you have a solid understanding of economical correlations, the ability to focus on keeping delivery times and you strive to achieve top quality.
* You have strong business understanding, customer focus and skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.
* You have proven ability to take decisions to improve profitability
* You are a driven person with perseverance with the ability to generate energy.
* You have the understanding and skills required to work effectively in an international environment and matrix organisation.
* You have proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organisation, management teams and employees and to create cross-functional ways of working.
* You will be required to travel extensively both in Sweden and internationally
* You have appropriate professional or postgraduate qualifications in a business oriented-, technical-, economics- or legal discipline and you have excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English.
* Leadership experience and a keen interest in Lean ways of working are important selection criteria and experience of planning and logistics is also desirable.
