Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.

With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 8 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Munich & Paris with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 100 members of staff in 7 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

The idea of Axel Arigato started with the founders; Max Svärdh and Albin Johansson, questioning the whole structure of the fashion industry - why and how you make things. By foregoing seasonal collections, traditional sales channels and engaging with customers directly, Axel Arigato was launched with one main objective: to create the present, shape the future, and inspire generations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Head of Sourcing & Production (HSP) is responsible for all of Axel Arigato’s sourcing and production activities. This includes, but is not limited to, footwear production and office in Portugal and ready-to-wear production spread across the globe.

The HSP oversees teams located in Sweden, London and Portugal and is ultimately responsible for ensuring we meet our margin, quality, sustainability and lead time/delivery precision targets from a production perspective.

Additionally, being able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve and establish processes, ways of working etc. is key, as the Sourcing & Production department is a key function within our company with numerous touchpoints and collaborators.

• Lead the Sourcing & Production department
• Source and be responsible for our material and production supplier base, continuously reviewing it to ensure it is fit for purpose on long and short term
• Work closely with tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers to ensure KPI:s, such as margin, sustainability, lead time/delivery precision and quality, are met
• Collaborate and work closely with key stakeholders/departments, such as product development and merchandising, to ensure we review, improve and implement critical paths, ways of working, processes etc.
