Your role

The mission of Head of Strategic Sales is to drive and lead your team into new business opportunities and sales growth on selected projects and markets as well as strategic customers operating globally.

Together with Scania’s distributors globally, the Strategic Sales team will select business opportunities and thereby maximize the consolidated value delivered by Scania to the customers. This is done by leading cross functional Scania activities, securing knowledge of customer organization and their needs in terms of products & services. You identify, prioritize and execute potential projects and markets. On selected projects, the Strategic Sales Team work with lobbying, involving relevant stakeholders, managing the various parts of the project and are responsible for discussions/negotiations with end customers up until deal closure.

As a leading manager, you will have to look into how your organization needs to be shaped in order to make sure it can cope with the new markets and customer demands in a fast pace environment.

In the role you and the team actively enhance customer loyalty, partnerships, promote and challenge business collaboration to make Scania achieve greater consolidated sales results. With a result-driven mindset, you are accountable for proposing to management which strategic customers Scania should focus on that will enable Scania to be a true partner in sustainable people transport solutions and reach our short and long-term targets.

Your profile
We think you are an inspiring experienced leader and team player with a strong drive to deliver in our business and lead strategic sales.

You have a commercial and business orientation background and experience working with several global markets. You have passion and energy for understanding our customers’ business and enjoy working with different cultures. You are resilient, enjoying a high pace commercial environment where you constantly make priorities based on what is best for our business.

Communication is one of your skills and you are familiar with active communication with various stakeholders. Strong leadership, drive, goal orientation and joy in continuously delivering results are keywords about you!

You listen and communicate openly, are good at building relations and motivate others. You have solid leadership experience and are strong in developing others.

Previous experience in a similar role as well as leading others is a necessity. You have a business, economics, engineering or similar university degree, and we expect you to be fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. If you speak other languages it is of interest.
