We’re looking for an experienced leader to join us as Head of Strategy and Business Development at Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions – someone who is driven by further developing and exploring new business opportunities enabled by digitalization, who has experience from supporting and guiding new businesses and who shares our vision of setting the industry standard by advanced technology. We have the expertise and innovative mindset to develop new ideas into pioneering solutions. With your leadership capabilities of supporting, building and acquiring new businesses, matched with an entrepreneurial drive, we’re ready to shape the future of manufacturing.

We work in a fast paced, software technology and business driven environment. Our aim is to become world leaders within our segment.
Your mission
In this key role, you take lead in our strategies and for our growth agenda. You’re accountable for setting our direction, shaping development plans and driving deployment of strategic initiatives, projects and mergers and acquisitions (M&As) throughout Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions. You do this by supporting us with reliable business intelligence and benchmarking - preparing business plans, forecasts and follow ups, and making sure we have the best possible foundation for achieving great results.
Your input is gathered by active collaboration across our business, and you frequently keep one ear to ground to understand the needs of our customers and how the market is transforming. You also perform industry analysis to ensure valuable information on trends and movements that may affect our business. By building bridges and networks, you dynamically manage our stakeholders and the many different interfaces that comes with your mission.
You’re a significant sounding board and report directly to the President of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions and are a valued member of SMF Management team. The location for this position is preferably at our new office site in Stockholm – a place for mixing tech innovation with the core of machining - and international travel is included in your job.
Your background
For this mission, we need someone with experience from executing strategic agendas, combined with a relevant academic background. You’re skilled in business analysis, M&As, transactions and due diligence, and it’s beneficial if you have previously worked in a line organization within the manufacturing domain. You’re tech driven and eager to learn about our market and the opportunities and challenges we’re facing. We operate worldwide, and this calls for an open mind and cultural awareness – you’re used to working cross both functions and borders and you need excellent communication skills in English.
You have a tactical, organized and entrepreneurial mindset, and you’re a confident and proactive decision-maker. By considering options and spotting opportunities, you both challenge us and make things happen, and you enjoy being the architect behind our strategic agenda. Collaboration and stakeholder management are top priorities for you, and your agile, responsive and inspiring approach and your commitment to the mission creates engagement across the division .
