New Business Area Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) is created to capitalize on the opportunity of the convergence of cloud and services. As our customers deploy 5G, our aim is to accelerate the optimization and automation of increasingly complex networks, by transforming to cloud native software and services. This, in turn, will enable them to provide more competitive services, at a faster pace. BCSS combines extensive capabilities in R&D, services, software, lifecycle management and AI to create a competitive position and secure the success of our customers. Our more than 30 000 Cloud Software and Services employees support global customers across 180 geographies.
We’re looking for a strong leader accountable for building and developing a world class Strategy and Portfolio organization.
As an executive leader and a member of the BCSS leadership team, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to manage change, inspire, innovate, drive for efficiency, automation, and digitalization, collaborate, be result oriented, a problem-solver in a highly fast-paced, geographically diverse matrix organization working with the latest technologies of Telecom.
This role will be a direct report to the Head of Business Area Cloud Software and Services. This role can be based in any of BCSS sites across Europe dependent on the finalist`s current.
Main Responsibilities:
Drive Cloud Software and Services strategy definition & coordinate with Group strategy
Coordinate cross-SA strategy definition
Drive Cloud software and services strategic studies and projects (incl. technology foresight studies)
Drive business intelligence (incl. both Competitor & Customer)
Own partnership strategy, in collaboration with Sales and Commercial Management that owns partner management.
Coordinate Merge and Acquisition funnel and drive M&A activities with a support from group M&A
Execute follow-up for strategic priorities (e.g., OKRs, reporting, corrective measures)
Drive selected business critical execution programs
Drive common WoW and tools for product management
Portfolio coordination across SAs, incl. Portfolio Council
Drive Cloud Software and Services portfolio profitability review
Key Attributes:
Highly skilled in strategy development and strategy execution and a deep understanding of market and competitor intelligence
Excellent customer and portfolio understanding, knowledge of Telecom market and Ericsson end to end portfolio
In depth Cloud Software and Services business understanding
Strong business acumen and how to drive profitable growth.
Demonstrate an awareness of financial issues affecting the organization
Excellence in business cases (e.g., M&A, SDP2) and defining long-term business planning
Leadership:
Business and Strategy – Seizes and acts on business opportunities to enhance Service Delivery footprint.
Articulate and lead activities and decisions on performance based on external benchmarks and best in class approach
Courageous Leadership - Provides a clear direction, sets appropriate standards of behavior, Motivates, and empowers.
Excelling in execution - Decides on a definite course of action and makes prompt decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks
Enabling people - Experience running large organizations and managing large matrix organizations

Minimum Requirements:
University degree in Engineering / ICT
Extensive track record of successfully achieving result in a complex cross functional organization.
Highly skilled in strategy development and strategy execution and a deep understanding of market and competitor intelligence
