Job Description
As Head of Strategy and Steering your main responsibility is to lead the development of the brand strategy to build brand value in collaboration with Brand Director, Creative Director, and Brand Development management team. You are also responsible for developing the overall H&M Marketing strategy and calendar based on consumer and brand insights, in close collaboration with the Brand ID & Design (content strategy) and the Media teams (media strategy).
Your responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
Developing the brand strategic backbone, including the brand hierarchy and brand target.
Managing the overall brand value KPI framework
Enabling a consumer insight driven strategy and organisation, by either developing new capabilities or contributing to existing sources of insights.
Overseeing the global Brand Calendar and investment priorities.
Setting the planning frame on a yearly and quarterly basis and identifying priorities across our different Business Units (e.g., Womenswear) and Regions. This is done in collaboration with other relevant functions.
Leading, coaching and constantly developing your unit and your team to enable high performing teams and collaboration cross functions and channels



Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of brand building and marketing science and ability to connect brand building and commercial needs to deliver on growth goals. With strong leadership skills, you are capable of defining strategies based on insights and inspiring the organization to achieve its goals. Additionally, you have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate transparently and inspire, engage in open dialogue, and align direction and expectations.
We see that you have:
University degree, preferably in Marketing/Business, or similar knowledge from experience
10+ years of experience in brand strategy – with a proven track record of building successful international brands
Previous experience in the area consumer insights and targeting strategy
Proven experience from leading teams in change and working in a large international organization
Experience in building brand hierarchies across different regions and categories is highly valued
Experience working internationally
Ability to transform data and insights into impactful visions, strategies, and actions.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, ability to navigate a complex international organization
