In the scope of Structural parts, you will be in charge of BIW, Frames and metallic pipes. It’s the core structure of our trucks and where well-known technologies turns into new ones to shape our future.

Mission
As Head of Structural parts, you are in the fore front driving the journey with our cross functional teams and suppliers, aiming at bringing the Volvo group a strong competitive advantage in the market but also leading the way of sustainability.

You drive and manage the performance of your team from a quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability and risk (QDCF-TSR) standpoint. You lead a team of Buyers and in your area of scope, manage supplier relationships, cross functional collaboration, and contribute to supplier negotiation & global segment strategies. You also create an effective working climate with a lot of fun.


Reporting to: Head of Metal Purchasing
Location: Flexible between Göteborg, Sweden and Lyon, France.

Main Responsibilities
Be a member in Metal Purchasing leadership team and contribute to the development of the department in an active way
Staff your team and drive its competence development individually and collectively
Drive department activities towards the wanted position through active coaching
Manage the overall supplier relationships and implement the global segment strategies
Manage cross functional interactions with your internal stakeholders
Manage purchasing QDCF- TSR deliverables
Responsible for budget & operating expenses
Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values
