SQ-Quality is within Scania Purchasing responsible for quality assurance of new and modified parts, as well as securing capable production processes during the life time of a part
In order to strengthen our organization, we are hiring a manager the area Supplier Quality Electronics & Software.
Your Tasks
You will be responsible for a SQA-team of 8-9 co-workers. The team is responsible for Quality assurance of products and production processes within several segments, such as Wire Harness, Sensors, Actuators and PCB processes (surface mount technology, through hole technology, final assembly and coating etc.) Since software is a new competence area for SQ, competence within SW Quality Assurance and functional safety is highly meritorious.
As responsible for the Quality Assurance, the SQA evaluates the suppliers ability to produce parts within specific segments; introducing new suppliers/ new process flows and securing project introductions of new or changed parts at existing suppliers.
In close cooperation with project and commodity purchasing the SQA contributes to the segment strategies with technical knowledge about parts and processes.
As the Head of the team you will support and coach in project introductions, Quality strategies, supplier selections, audits, development of methods & processes and other technical/commercial activities. The work is cross functional and you will participate in several forums together with suppliers, R&D and production.
You are responsible for the development of your co-workers and to contribute to the development of methods and processes within purchasing.
You are a member of the future SQC management team and you will also work in close cooperation with the Purchasing management team for Cab & Electronics.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate with an interest for technical and manufacturing processes. You are probably an engineer with several years experience within the manufacturing industry.
Management experience from production and/or R&D are preferable. You have high integrity, good judgement and work according to the Scania leadership principles. You are outspoken, takes own initiatives, are self going with a good drive and deliver result.
You will have many contacts in an international environment where different cultures meets. It is therefore essential that you easily create and maintain good relationships. Good language skills in English is a requirement.
