Supply Network Quality (SNQ) is a global organization within Volvo Group Purchasing responsible to drive the global supply network towards premium automotive quality standards. This means we are responsible to secure the manufacturing capabilities of the supply network, to quality assure the purchased parts and to continuously improve the quality performance of the supply network base. We work with these matters both in sourcing, projects and operations with a clear objective to provide excellent products to our end customers.

Position description
We are now looking for an outstanding candidate to take on the role as head of Supply Network Quality Powertrain.
This position has full responsibility for all operational SNQ activities in Europe related to our Powertrain business. In this role you formally are responsible for the quality performance of the supply chain partners of the Volvo Group delivering to our Powertrain plants in Europe and to manage a department located in many European countries, predominantly in France and Sweden.
We evaluate, quality assure and improve our new and existing suppliers in projects and running production. You will be an active member of the SNQ Management team, where you drive and support various strategical initiatives and business plans for the global SNQ organization in Volvo Group Purchasing. You will lead a department of ca 50 persons and be responsible for the related operational expenses.
You will also participate actively in the European Powertrain Purchasing management team and engage in various operational purchasing activities.


Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate has a proven track record of +5 years in developing and leading flexible global teams successfully. You master quality assurance within the automotive industry.
You are passionate about technology and production processes. You constantly develop, take ownership and accountability for the scope of your full department and the related supply chain partners. You can both master the overall status of your supplier partners and be on top of details for specific cases when required. You are passionate to deliver great products and value for our customers.
This role requires that you are a true connector: you have strong ability to form trustful and cross-functional relations both within and outside the Volvo Group. You carry the flag with the ambition to be industry benchmark for supplier quality.
You are highly driven, like speed and make things happen by constantly and swiftly switching between strategic work and hands-on operational work.
As a leader, you have an inclusive leadership, taking quick decisions and have the capability to bring out the best from your team! You lead with passion, always perform with purpose, and ability to transform with vision. You and your team are enablers for the execution of Volvo Group’s & Volvo Group Purchasing business.

Required competencies for the position:
You have a high ambition combined with a strong drive, a can-do mind-set, a hands-on attitude and an ability to drive many initiatives in parallel.
You have a documented experience within engineering, purchasing or manufacturing.
University degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of proven high-level leadership in an international environment
Deep knowledge and experience of quality assurance in the automotive industry or similar
Sound judgement – ability to take the right actions and decision at the right time together with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind
Strong drive to develop and ability to get things done
Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written English
