Arbetsbeskrivning
At Sandvik, responsible business practices have always been, and will always be, a fundamental part of our strategy and business model. In 2019, we adopted new, ambitious 2030 targets that show our strong commitment to continue to develop our business through sustainability; a key part of our strategy for future success. We are now looking for a Head of Sustainability to take the lead and accelerate our sustainability work - a passionate professional who is eager to create value.
In this central role, you inspire and develop the long term sustainability strategy for the Sandvik Group, including ensuring the development of clear goals and targets to deliver those ambitious objectives. We offer a great opportunity to strongly influence our organization, while shaping and developing your own work. You are one of our key Sandvik players – taking our profile and strategy to the next level.
Your mission – to successfully inspire and, in cooperation with the business, set the direction for Sandvik’s future success through sustainability
You coach and work closely with all parts of the business to ensure alignment in this changing and developing landscape. As an inspiring leader, you cooperate closely with the wider organization to ensure that we are driving the right activities, generating awareness and safe-guarding that we remain the customer’s first choice for sustainable solutions.
You analyze, plan, coordinate, execute and communicate Sandvik’s Sustainability program (the SH/IFT) and advise the organization on how to improve the performance of business operations and processes related to sustainability. You further ensure that sustainability aspects are incorporated in relevant policy and strategy documents, including the information required by different stakeholders trough the rapidly developing reporting landscape. To issue a sustainability report and give sustainability input to the annual report is also part of your agenda.
Another key aspect of your job is to ensure constructive and transparent dialogues with investors, customers and peers, and making sure that all our stakeholders and other relevant entities receive the correct information. You also assist our Group Communication and Investor Relations team in managing media and analyst coverage on sustainability.
As Head of Sustainability, you report to the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Sandvik Group. The location for this position is Stockholm and some travel is expected.
Your character – an inspiring leader who promotes change and progress
We are looking for someone with a relevant bachelor’s degree and long term experience with managing sustainability in an international corporate environment. A master’s degree is considered advantageous. You have at least ten years’ experience in the sustainability arena and have a proven track record of delivering results and business value. Experience from working in large, international companies is necessary to succeed in this position, and you communicate fluently in English.
We are writing the rules and creating history, which is why we admire your passion for sustainability and your visionary thinking. You are self-driven and highly motivated to identify synergies, deliver substance and reach results, and you combine this with being a customer focused and open minded team player. With knowledge and confidence, you challenge us if you find it necessary, and you inspire people to open up, think differently, take responsibility and give them the tools to grow. As a strong communicator, you also know how to execute your ideas and you guide us along the changes you are proposing and driving.
