To set the direction and ambition for Sandvik Coromant Sustainable Business initiative, we’re now looking for an experienced Sustainability expert who inspires trust and commitment the cause.
About the job
In this position, you’re the key player in developing, influencing and delivering the sustainability strategy throughout our entire organization. With your solid expertise, you support us to deliver an integrated sustainability strategy and to demonstrate progress against strategic objectives and performance indicators. You develop, implement and measure the organizational environmental performance and strategies, and you advocate for ways to improve it. Being responsible for our sustainability analysis and audit work is included in the job. Also, you set guidelines and benchmarks for the organizational environmental impact and take lead in communicating and marketing sustainability campaigns to internal and external stakeholders.
You’re a significant sounding board to our management team and other entities within Sandvik Group. You report directly to Vice President Strategy & Business Development and the location for this position is preferably Stockholm or Sandviken and international travel is included in your job.
Your profile
You have at least five years’ experience of designing and implementing sustainability strategies in a global B2C context. Good understanding of the operations of a manufacturing business and the complete value chain is necessary, and we expect an understanding of applications and production technology in the machining industry. You’re a skilled project manager who knows your way when it comes to market analysis, business intelligence and tools and methods used in this line of work. You’re used to being part of a management team, and to lead multifunctional, international, virtual teams and build networks. Also, you’re an experienced people manager and a true role model when it comes to inspiring and empowering others. We operate worldwide, and this calls for an open mind and cultural awareness – you’re used to working cross both functions and borders and you need excellent communication skills in English.
You’re highly strategic, analytic, creative and driven, and you’re very good at convincing, leading and lobbying with many different stakeholders. You take great pride in delivering results, and you have the capability to prioritize, organize, plan and execute your assignments in a timely manner. You utilize your drive and strategic abilities to ensure success, and you’re not afraid of challenging our matrix organization. With curiosity, strong business acumen, and great communication skills, you confidently influence and build great collaborations between various teams and stakeholders within our complex and growing organization.
