Arbetsbeskrivning
Are you an entrepreneurial collaborator with a curiosity for exploring and driving a sustainability agenda towards the SME sector of manufacturing?
We welcome you to a global workplace where we combine innovation, rapid technological advances and digitalization to enhance the resource utilization, safety and sustainability within the manufacturing industry. To reach our goals, we believe in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating differences. Learn more about our purpose here: https://youtu.be/CZBci6jD4L8
As the industrial frontrunner we are, we want to contribute even further in building a better and more sustainable world, and we’re therefore looking for a Head of Sustainable Manufacturing. You’ll join an exciting journey at our fast-growing division Design and Planning Automation, part of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF). A great opportunity to shape your own role and grow your career while keeping a healthy balance between work and private life.
Where?
Our main hub is a new and modern office located at Gasverket in Stockholm, but we’re flexible and you can work from anywhere as long it meets our security protocol. Some travel is included in this position.
Your mission
Together with your small team, you play a central role in taking our division forward. You own our sustainable manufacturing innovation program – empowering sustainable manufacturing within the Industry 4.0 context. Our vision is to enable a higher awareness and innovation grade connected to sustainability among small and medium sized manufacturing companies, as that segment often are lacking the resources themselves. With customer value in mind, you use modern technology and research to analyze, identify and design new features and tools. You also support in targeting M&A opportunities to further accelerate our vision to make a global impact and ensure business relevance.
Our actions make global impact, although there are many challenges to overcome, no simple answers and no legacy to help. Many different competences need to be involved, as well as customers and end-users, and new networks need to be created. You balance this by focusing on our customers and their needs, influence our product teams, while keeping a transparent and collaborative approach towards other teams and stakeholders – shifting between a helicopter view and hands-on technical focus.
Who you are
Although expertise within sustainability and a customer-focused, technical background are very useful in this role, your personality is you most important asset here. With curiosity, strong business acumen, and great communication skills, you confidently influence and build great collaborations between various teams and stakeholders within our complex and growing organization. You have great help by your genuine tech interest and passion of enabling sustainable manufacturing by digital solutions, and not to forget – your dynamic, doers’ mentality.
Critical thinking and good analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a dose of creativity and the ability to process complex data (simulation, data acquisition, patterns) into solid conclusions, are also key qualities. Add an understanding of manufacturing software and cloud technology – and we have a perfect match. We look forward to your application!
