Head of Sweden at Avincis

Avincis is a global aviation critical services company, focusing on search and rescue, medical rescue and firefighting. Avincis operates in 8 countries with 225 aircraft, and has a newly created role to head of the Swedish operations. The Head of Sweden will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading an aviation operation at a senior level, solid leadership skills and strong business acumen.
Objectives of this role
· The Head of Sweden is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing all activities associated with the safe operation of Sweden.
· The Head of Sweden is responsible for achieving all financial and commercial objectives for the Swedish operations, participating in the development of the Nordic strategy and ensuring implementation.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the safety of Sweden’s operations and employees, actively driving a culture of zero harm, together with appropriate safety reporting
· Develop and manage all operational resources, providing effective leadership and direction
· Together with the Managing Director, Nordics, be responsible for Sweden’s profile and reputation, including representing Sweden at key functions, industry events and public meetings if applicable
· Ensure contract compliance
· Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
· Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
· Achievement of budget and other targets
· Ensure and analyze budget and financial outcome with a strategic planning perspective.
Required experience, skills and qualifications
· Five or more years of experience in senior leadership roles
· Significant knowledge of aviation regulatory and compliance requirements
· Proven track record of successful achievement of financial and commercial objectives in the aviation sector
· Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
· Strong drive for results and action
· Strong communication skills, able to leverage natural strengths in complex situations and able to represent Avincis both internally and externally
· Fluency in English and Swedish essential
