Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Scania has decided to establish a third industrial hub in China. Alongside building a new factory and an expansion of the sales network we will also establish a local R&D organisation in China. Our mission in R&D Industrial Operations Asia is to develop trucks adapted for the Chinese market, the biggest commercial vehicle market in the world and globally leading in connectivity and digitalization.
The work will be carried out by a dedicated organisation that consists of colleagues from all brands within the TRATON Group together with many new colleagues from China. We are building the organisation simultaneously as we develop the product and are now looking for a manager that can help us define the strategy forward.
In order to succeed in a new market, Scania needs to focus on speed, flexibility, and flow. To manage that we work in an agile setup, we have started to establish a Process and IT capability here in Södertälje to secure that the necessary IT supporting solutions required in the R&D organisation China go as smoothly as possible, in order to develop our products fast and effective.

Your Assignment
The organisation is in its build-up phase and you will be leading one of the groups within "Information Systems R&D" that is responsible for building up the system capabilities and IT tools needed in order to support our R&D colleagues within product development in R&D China. This will be done in cooperation with information- and system owners within Scania R&D Södertälje.
The group is based here in Södertälje with the ongoing expansion in China where we also are scaling up with a local Process and IT hub. We work in an agile landscape where designers, production, and purchaser work closely.

You have solid experience from previous management positions or have a good experience from similar roles or areas within Research and Development at Scania R&D.
Experience in working with developing information systems and applications is merit.
