Head of Third Party Management - Sandvik Group Compliance

Head of Third Party Management - Sandvik Group Compliance

Arbetsbeskrivning

The complexity of multiple markets, laws and regulations is an everyday challenge for us. Evaluating and managing risks, and balancing them against potential profits, requires accuracy and strong integrity. Within Sandvik, we consider compliance extremely important, and we actively work to secure that we do business in a compliant manner throughout the entire Sandvik organization – always!
With the launch of our new Group Compliance strategy “Compliance. Simplified” and to advance our compliance program to the next level, we are now looking to add a Head of Third-Party Management to our Sandvik Group Compliance team. The role is one of the four pillars in the Sandvik Group Compliance team, together with the Head of the Program Office, the Head of Global Projects and Technology and the Head of Culture & Ethics.
We are overall responsible for the Group Compliance Program – consisting of Data Privacy, Competition Law, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and former Trade Compliance, which will now be Third-Party Management. You are a key Sandvik resource as we set out to further develop our ethical culture, raise awareness and actively promote the importance of compliance while we advance the world through engineering. If you want to put your footprints on our compliance map and take part in an exciting journey where we kick off a new strategy and aim for growth, this is your next career move!
Your mission
Your energy and commitment play a central part in your everyday work as you are responsible for building our new Group Compliance Third-Party Program. It is a brand-new program within our function, which will consist of trade compliance, sanctions, and KYC/due diligence. You develop our new Group Compliance Due Diligence framework, while at the same time ensure that we are prepared for new regulatory requirements within the third-party areas (like the upcoming Human Rights requirements by the EU). You also align our work with the Sandvik Group strategy of growth, digitalization, and innovation.
As a senior business partner, you support and train us in shifting focus to be more strategic and to enable a transparent corporate environment - governing a compliance culture and a wider third-party management network throughout the organization. You drive this new program through strong collaboration and partnerships with key stakeholders within the organization, such as Group Treasury, Procurement & Sourcing, the extended Compliance community, the Trade community as well as actors across our business areas and divisions.
To be more specific, you:
Set up our Group Compliance requirements and framework on due diligence and KYC to cater for current and future regulatory requirements in close collaboration with our business areas, Group functions, M&A teams, compliance and legal stakeholders.
Support the further development of our restricted party screening process and ensure oversight
Ensure a solid setup and advisory regarding trade, export and import control, and sanctions
Serve as support and advisor to the business area Compliance Officers on M&A activities from a compliance point of view
Prioritize, execute and deliver key value drivers within the Third-Party Management Program
Provide support to the business areas through simplification, automation and data management
Explore, challenge and implement technology to support our Group Compliance vision

You report to our Vice President and Head of Group Compliance and your location is flexible within our sites in Europe. Post covid-19, this is a role that includes some global travel to meet with our business and understand their needs and challenges.
Your profile
We are looking for a strategic, proactive and analytical collaborator – someone who is used to managing multiple rules and regulations, knows how to easily explain them in a business context and deeply values the power of great stakeholder management. You share our vision of growth and innovation, and your driven and curious mindset enables continuous development. You challenge us to think differently and evaluate new angles, and you bring people onboard with your trusting manners, high integrity and enthusiastic approach.
You have a Master of Law or other similar educational background combined with at least five years’ experience from working with compliance in similar roles – being responsible for areas such as sanctions or third-party programs. Coming from a global and decentralized business environment is beneficial. You are skilled in setting clear prioritizations, planning ahead, and ensuring successful execution.
Naturally, you are used to managing relevant compliance systems and the Office 365 suite. As we aim to be frontrunners, you also enjoy exploring digital tools and new, smart and effective ways of working. In this international setting, fluent communication and presentation skills in English is a must, while knowledge of other languages is a real asset.
