What's in it for you? 

As Head of Top Hat and Processes & Tools you and your team are purchasing all direct spent material in the area of Top Hat and running a business development team to improve procurement processes.
Challenges going forward: as our company is transforming into a direct consumer business with electric, highly autonomous and constantly connected cars we also need to adjust how we work in the area of Top Hat.
We are looking for you, an inspiring, visionary leader who can set the path for the future ensuring smart procurement in the most efficient way of indirect spent. You will be challenged to develop the team of 120+ experts in indirect procurement, based in three regions, to meet today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
In parallel, you are responsible for our Processes & Tools function developing our procurement processes to highly efficient, cutting-edge processes for entire Volvo Cars Procurement and are ensuring that relevant systems are available to support.

* Together with R&D define the strategy and plans to ensure Top Hat Procurement supports our company in its transformation in a highly efficient and future proof way
* Develop Top Hat supplier strategies in key areas and constantly improve ways of working to cost competitiveness of innovative products 
* Be the engine to safeguard that procurement gets highly efficient and cutting-edge processes. You run this transition with clear priority setting in mind that realizes biggest effects first. Your team is developing clear action plans and communicates those plans in a compelling way to relevant stakeholders. 
*  Lead a global + and diverse team present in all three regions, Europe, China and US, continuously develop the team and safeguard that we have key competence for tomorrow's reality and use available resources in the most efficient way.
*  Engage, drive and challenge your team to swiftly execute both in a highly uncertain & dynamic environment and in a sustainable way. This with a transformation mindset, high resilience and by being courageous to test and implement new ways of working, and supporting tools etc.
*  Your maturity and willingness to embrace constant change is inspiring and encouraging for your team. You are a role model for Volvo Cars desired culture and behaviors throughout the Procurement organization.


 You and your skills

* You are a senior leader with significant purchasing experience. Experience from other functional areas of the automotive business such as e.g., product development or manufacturing is a merit
* You initiate and drive transformation with high business acumen. You are constantly challenging the status quo and are passionate to continuously improve. 
* You are not afraid of challenging situations or managing ambiguity with conflicting interests, but instead you tackle them directly and find innovative solutions ensuring the best possible outcome for our company. You are able to achieve a lot with limited resources.
* You know how to turn strategies into actions, and you involve your team in this. You are structured, plan and prioritize your/ your teams work to meet commitments in line with the organization's goals, achieve consistent results, even in tough circumstances

Qualifications

* A commercial or technical university degree is a must
* Global management experience, preferably from multinational OEMs, is a must
* Sound procurement experience (commercial and supplier process development) is a must
*  Project management experience is a merit
* Experience from other functional areas of the automotive business such as e.g., product development or manufacturing is a merit
