Futuregames is a leading educational provider for the Swedish games industry, with over 20 years of experience with schools in Boden, Karlstad, Skellefteå, and Stockholm specializing on educations in game art, game design, game programming, QA game testing, VR/AR, games marketing, and more.
This fall, we are expanding with a new education for GAME ARTIST in Karlstad, and we want you to come and join us to build the next generation of super talented game developers!
About the job:
The role is a full-time 100% employment, starting immediately.
You will have responsibilities for planning, developing, teaching and evaluating the Games Art education in Karlstad, in cooperation with teachers, guest teachers, heads of education and coordinators across our other sites.
Take an active role in teaching and mentoring both within the education and across educational disciplines (e.g. group projects.) both in Karlstad and at other schools.
Assist in the selection and admission process in collaboration with the respective Heads of Education and Education Coordinators.
About you:
You should have experience of working in games development at a games company as a games artist and have a passion for creating great games.
You should be more than comfortable with working with game engines either Unreal or Unity and preferably both!
You are at ease working with students and other teachers participating in group discussions and in meetings.
You are passionate about the future of games development and able to enthuse our students.
Must haves
Professional experience in games development from a games company.
Documented experience of working with Unity and/or Unreal.
Professional level English language (all our educations are taught in English and many of our students and teachers only have English as a common language).
Area specific skills such as lighting, rigging, animation, character and environment art.
Nice to haves
A background from the games design industry working with VFX/animation.
Professional working experience in programming.
Experience of teaching (game related or other relevant experience).
Experience of working in a culturally diverse organization (we have a number of international students and staff from across the world).
Salary level: 30,000 – 40,000 SEK / month (depending on experience).
