Arbetsbeskrivning
For Seco Tools, we’re now looking for a networking and result-oriented Health and Safety Specialist to empower our goal of creating a safe and healthy work environment, where we maximize well-being and minimize risk exposure for every coworker. Environment, health and safety (EHS) is one of our main priorities, and we actively and consciously work to create a culture where safety always comes first - regardless of the circumstances. Are you the dedicated achiever we need for this position? Welcome to a job where your knowledge is valued both on site and worldwide.
About the job
Seco Tools is part of the wider Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) organization, and in this position, you’re responsible for coordinating our health and safety work across the many divisions included within SMS. You plan and manage activities and projects to meet our long-term objectives in this important area, and you actively collaborate with operative resources from each division to make sure that we follow applicable laws and standards, as well as keep our set direction. An important item on your agenda is to create the right prerequisites for a healthy organization - focusing on our work environment and the well-being of our employees – and this is where your determination and confidence really comes into play.
In addition, you take ownership of our Cobalt and Hard Metal Monitoring program - coordinating global health and safety activities regarding cobalt, and acting as chairman for global working groups within your area of expertise. You’re also the contact person towards authorities, and by sharing knowledge and best practices with others, you drive and inspire change.
This position is preferably located in Fagersta, with a flexible option for the right candidate, and some planned travel is included.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a relevant university degree, preferably within EHS, or with the necessary knowledge to understand how people can be affected by our manufacturing processes and the chemicals we use in production. Your career includes work experience from the area of health and safety, and you know how to effectively form a work environment that promotes well-being. Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding chemicals – like Reach and RoHS - is highly valuable and you’re used to performing risk evaluations and analysis. Since you work with a global perspective, you need excellent language skills in English, while Swedish is an advantage.
Your working style is structured and inspiring, and you’re very skilled at taking lead, motivating people and driving change through networks. Collaboration and communication are your cornerstones, and you know what to prioritize and what connections you need to establish to achieve results. All in all, you’re a confident doer – someone who initiate actions, and also make sure they are executed successfully.
