For a challenging role with an outside in perspective, we’re now looking for a Health and Safety Specialist for our global EHS team within Sandvik Coromant. This is a great opportunity for a networking pro with excellent intercultural skills.
Your characteristics and result oriented approach are highly valued, but it really matters that you have solid experience of the kind of work we’re presenting. You’ve successfully driven improvements to reduce incidents and implemented a culture of safe behaviors. We need you to walk in the forefront and you’re ready to take us to the next level. So… What about the mission?
To start with, the location for this position is rather flexible between our sites, but a time zone corresponding well to Sweden’s is preferred due to the management situation. Working closely with stakeholder such as HR, production and local EHS-organizations, you set the direction for Sandvik Coromant’s global occupational health, safety and wellbeing activities and take lead in providing objectives and guidelines and to improve current processes and procedures within the area. Building a safety culture is your mantra, and you practice this as you lead the Sandvik Coromant Health and Safety working group and represent us in the similar gathering for the business area Sandvik Machining Solutions’.
This is a truly global role where you need to handle the diversities it brings, and you constantly promote the very best and safest way of working. You support the organization by following up and reporting the progress towards our objectives, and together with HR and local organizations, you support our sites globally in the implementation of health and wellbeing programs and perform internal audits with focus on EHS. During normal circumstances the job includes some international travel.
