We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist to implement Business lines and performance improvement programs, initiatives and practices to ensure an exemplary Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) culture throughout the assigned Countries. Delivers and deploys HSE training, audit and Power Grids performance improvement programs to the assigned Countries.
Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organisation to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment & sustainability.
Support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Facilitate delivery of support from the Power Grids HSE organisation and ensure effective risk management through HSE excellence along Hitachi Energy value chain.
Your responsibilities
Ensures timely notification of HSE incidents, investigations, preventative and corrective actions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Local & HUB Management.
Feeds back on lessons learned and best practice from own Country to management and employees.
Provides analysis of HSE data within area of responsibility. Reports on progress on implementation of Sustainability Objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) as required.
Contributes to assessing emerging trends and legislation in HSE and communicates relevant information on legal requirements within area of expertise and assigned countries. Supports constituent countries to operate in compliance with standards and respective legal obligations
Contributes to effective risk management of HSE related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice to business and management teams.

Your background
University level education in a relevant discipline (e.g. electrical engineering, industrial manufacturing/processes, IOSH certificate or equivalent)
Minimum 10+ years of experience in a HSE function in global organisation
Excellent knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements (e.g. Legislation, ISO 45001, ISO14001)
Ability to successfully support, persuade and influence senior management teams in a highly matrixed environment
Capable of working autonomously with remote and global teams and delivering in complex working environments
Excellent English language skills both orally and in writing.
Fluency in Swedish is essential.
You need to be capable to travel.
