We are hiring an enthusiastic and motivated Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager who will implement initiatives and work with colleagues in creating a best-in-class HSE culture within Hub Europe Transformers. In this role you will ensure that the organization operates in alignment with HSE standards and policies as per Hitachi Energy Sustainability strategy, by coaching, supporting, providing advice and solutions to leadership and line managers on safety, sustainability, and environment matters.
The Hub portfolio consists of around 50 total locations; 30 of these are factories and service unit across Europe in countries such as Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, United Kingdom.

Your responsibilities
Drive behavioral change through improvement programs, initiatives and trainings as well as engaging external and internal stakeholders in order raise awareness and gain commitment
Ensure that the process for auditing and reporting on HSE into Global Incident Database is rolled out accordingly, monitor findings and closure of corrective actions
Support local unit adherence to HSE affiliated legislation and regulatory requirements
Ensure HSE risk identification and control mechanisms are applied at all stages of the internal value chain
Be responsible that HSE function in the factories is appropriately organized, staffed, skilled and directed by local management. Guide, motivate and develop both direct/indirect HSE professionals within HR policies
Develop and drive Hub HSE strategy ensuring Global and Business Unit initiatives are included/aligned
Lead and support internal incident investigation standards, ensuring learnings are shared and implemented across Hub/Global
Provide regular coaching and sharing of good practices with all plants in the Hub
Lead Hub machine safety organization and affiliated programs
Coordination/development/coaching of the PL Senior HSE leaders

Your background
To be successful in this role, you hold University level education or equivalent in relevant discipline (Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability) together with 5-10 years of experience in the same field
Proven experience in Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability cultural development
Experience of working in international teams
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Ability to build trust with different stakeholders on all managerial levels
You are familiar with Change Management principles
Fluency in English - both written and spoken
