High Energy R&D Manager - Desktop Software

Our most important desktop software product, Tobii Pro Lab, is used to understand human behavior better. Tobii Pro Lab helps with designing, conducting and analyzing experiments centered around eye tracking. As our new R&D Manager you will lead our star desktop software team who continuously work with developing new features and enhance Tobii Pro Lab further. The team is split in several scrum teams located in Stockholm (~15 people) and Kiev (~25 people).

You'll report to the head of R&D and will be managing the Desktop Software team in Stockholm and Kiev (with the help from an on-site manager).

The role and responsibilities

In this role, your top responsibility is managing the cross functional scrum teams consisting of software engineers, UX engineers, QA engineers, scrum masters and product owners. You will spend your days

- Creating a great team spirit and delivery commitment in your projects.
- Working with the team and other stakeholders to increase efficiency and eliminate whatever problem comes your way.
- Growing the team and individual team members.
- Defining and follow up budget, resource allocation and release planning.
- Discussing the future of the product and the market.
- Developing the strategy for your part of the organization further.
- Contributing to the overall R&D strategy.

We are looking for someone who

- Has a degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Has a few years’ experience as an R&D manager.
- Has a keen interest in agile processes.
- Speaks fluent English.
