About us
The High Voltage (HV) System Design team is part of propulsion strategy and concept department. We work with the electrical propulsion system for the electric vehicles, and we are responsible for coordinating and balancing the interaction among HV-components. The HV-components include propulsion components such as traction batteries, electric machines, inverters, voltage converters and chargers. The development of the electric powertrains and the HV systems is very rapid, and we therefore handle new concepts for the HV system that requires systems engineering and coordination. The questions the team are working with includes electric power engineering. The HV system affects the car from software and EMI disturbances to the car’s mechanical design and driveline performance. This means that the team has a very central role and interacts with several other departments. Our team works cross-functionally within the electrical propulsion system in areas such as system design, electrical safety, system safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

What´s in it for you?
As a HV System Architect you lead the architecture work for new HV system concepts in our electric vehicles and you make sure that the HV system is well balanced, safe, robust, available and competetive. You will lead the cross-functional HV system development within electric propulsion, working closely with people who are responsible for the components of the HV system.

You and your skills
We are looking for a person with a University degree within electric power engineering, electronics or equivalent skills. Previous work-life experience within electric power system design is a firm requirement for the role.
