What’s in it for you?
We are looking for an HIL Engineer to join our HIL solutions team at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. 

The HIL solutions team is responsible for HILs (Hardware in the Loop) development, and we are experts in HIL solutions enabling cutting edge development methods. Our responsibility is to ensure that our internal customers are equipped with right tools and supported by our high metrological expertise. We do so by providing metrology expertise, lending of instrumentation, and design and service of development tools for testing departments within Volvo Cars. 

What you’ll do 
For this position, your main task is to design and construct HILs. You will propose solutions as well as bring support to define needs connected to the future plans of Volvo Cars in the growing area of HIL. You will be working closely with our customers who are experienced engineers. Working with testing technology means that you establish and develop relationships with test engineers within almost all system areas of the vehicle, as well as build an understanding of the technology within those areas.

As HIL Engineer you will build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D. You will support our internal customers in a way that makes HIL usage effective and successful. You will be able to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills together with your colleagues. As part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction.

You and your skills
We see that you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electric mechanics, or a similar education. You have good IT knowledge in general and knowledge within Matlab/Simulink/Python in particular. You also need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. For this position, you will also need a European driver’s license (B). Meritorious is experience of HIL (both HW and SW), HIL build, work experience from the automotive industry and knowledge in INCA, Canalyzer or dSpace HW.
